Any blind or visually impaired individual can request a free white cane from the National Federation of the Blind.FREE Straight White Fiberglass Cane for the Blind from NFB - The National Federation of the Blind is offering a free straight fiberglass cane through the White Cane Program to individuals that are blind or visually impaired. The canes are available in the following lengths: 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43, 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, and 63 inches. They suggest choosing a cane length which is eight inches shorter than the cane user. Requests may be made as often as every six months.
